In the King's Footsteps

Remembering Elvis – 30 Years After His Death

It’s time to pull out those sideburns and white jumpsuits — Elvis Week is upon us. If you’re planning a pilgrimage to Graceland in the next few weeks for the 30th Anniversary of Elvis Presley’s unexpected death (August 16), here are two ways Hampton Landmarks can help.

  1. Help find Elvis’ first guitar! Hampton is looking for the current whereabouts of the King’s first guitar, as part of “Lost Landmarks,” an interactive program that calls on consumers to play sleuths to help investigate some of today’s most mysterious pop-culture disappearances.

  2. Check out this Drive About  below “In the King’s Footsteps” - a mapped-out road trip that guides fans from Elvis’ humble roots to his much loved malt shop to his favorite roller coaster, all on one tank of gas.
