Standin' on the Corner Park

Winslow Arizona was immortalized in the early 1970s by the Eagles in their song "Take It Easy" with the catchy phrase "standin' on a corner in Winslow Arizona." Today, the city has turned "this very corner" into a park right on historic Route 66. A bronze sculpture of a young man wearing blue jeans, with a guitar in hand, sums up the hopes and musical dreams of a generation.
