The Seaba station was built in 1924, two years before Route 66 was certified as a highway. It was constructed as a garage and filling station. In the 1930s the business was transformed into machine shop and established contracts with the U.S. Government to repair vehicles. The business thrived with two ownership changes, until 1994. In 1995, new owners began a five year transformation and restoration project, culminating in the 2000 opening as The Seaba Station Antiques, Gifts & Collectibles.
