2011 Landmarks. You voted. We listened.
Since 2000, Hampton Hotels has been preserving historic, cultural and fun landmarks in the United States, Canada and Mexico through the Save-A-Landmark program. The Save-A-Landmark program is dedicated to keeping our country’s most treasured roadside attractions thriving for present and future generations to experience. In 2011, our efforts will continue to pay tribute to what it truly means to be American as we strive to reach our goal of refurbishing at least one landmark in each U.S. state.
All-American Landmarks signify defining moments in our country’s past, present and future, whether influencing environmental conservation, cultural diversity, pop culture, significant discoveries or accomplishments and/or the influential people who ignited such actions. This year we will wrap up our All-American Landmarks theme in five final states.
Communities around the country cast more than 20,000 votes to help us choose where to go next. The landmarks that will be refurbished in 2011 are:
